KING Charles has given a Powys town community group his royal seal of approval after sending them a letter.
The Circle, a project run by Presteigne and Norton Community Support (PNCS), is open on a Tuesday morning weekly for people to meet together in a friendly, supportive and accessible place.
It provides an opportunity to meet others, have a chat over refreshments, take part in activities, such as chair-based exercises, games and quizzes, plus the occasional outing.
Carole Brick contacted Buckingham Palace, explaining the concept and benefits of The Circle to His Royal Highness, and a royal correspondent replied on the King’s behalf.
A return letter sent on October 27 and published on the PNCS Facebook page recently, said: “The King has asked me to thank you for your kind letter regarding The Circle community group in Presteigne.
“It was most thoughtful of you to share a little about your group, and His Majesty was heartened by your description of the friendships you have found in your weekly meetings.
“The King was touched to receive the poem written by a member of your group regarding Their Majesties’ Coronation, and The King has asked me to send you a commemorative card with his sincere thanks for writing on this special occasion.
“His Majesty would have me convey his warmest good wishes to you and all at The Circle group.”
