Motorists have been warned about an overnight road closure that will be in place for four nights along a section of the A470 in Powys.
Starting on Tuesday evening (December 12), essential carriageway resurfacing work will take place at Bwlch y Garreg, between Llangurig and Cwmbelan, near Llanidloes.
The road is a main route for people travelling to Aberystwyth and Rhayader from south Montgomeryshire, or to Newtown from Rhayader.

Traffic Wales said local diversions will be in place while the full closure is needed from 7pm to 6am until Saturday, December 16.
Motorists planning on travelling through Mid Wales are advised to travel along the A483 to Newtown (northbound) or to Crossgates (southbound).
The official diversion is almost 57 miles, or an hour-long journey, according to Traffic Wales.
Traffic lights are already in place along this section of the road at Bwlch y Garreg while one lane is closed.
