POLICE are appealing for information regarding two burglaries that took place overnight in two different Powys towns that are believed to be linked.
The two incidents occurred in Knighton and Rhayader last month.
Thieves first broke into and stole valuable life-saving equipment from Knighton Fire Station, before they then travelled to Rhayader, where the Spar was hit, with attempts made to gain access to the cashpoint machine.
Dyfed Powys Police are appealing particularly for information from anyone who has been given the opportunity to purchase items stolen from the fire station in Knighton.
The incidents occurred late at night on Wednesday, November 15, or in the early hours of the following day.

Dyfed Powys Police said the investigation is ongoing. Following the raid a post on the fire station's Facebook read: “We as a crew are absolutely devastated."
A force spokesperson said the items stolen from the fire station include: a TIC - ARGUS - MI-TIC S; TIC - Seek Thermal; Roebuck socket set; Edraulic – spreader; 2 x Edraulic – cutter; 5 x Edraulic batteries; Dewalt - rotary drill; Dewalt 54V recip saw; Dewalt 54V impact drill; 50mtr floating line and dry bag.
