A POWYS pub is celebrating its 16th anniversary by bringing back its drink prices from 2007.
The Fountain Inn, Builth Wells, is getting in the festive spirit by giving back to its customers for the weekend, which means anyone popping in to the Broad Street boozer will be able to get any pint, single short or bottled drink for £2.50 or less.
Band old school are playing on Saturday night, December 9; they are running a competition to win a free t-shirt when you buy 10 pints all weekend, while on Sunday they host a darts competition, with the old school drinks offers also available throughout Sunday.
Landlord Gwyn Davies said: “It’s our 16-year anniversary of opening the pub this weekend and we’ve got a few interesting things on go.
“We are doing a buy 10 pints and get a free t-shirt all weekend and on Sunday we are doing the same prices we opened with, so that means the same price list from 2007 all day, and we have a darts comp on.
“It’s just a way of giving a bit back to the customers.”
Drinks prices on Sunday include £2 for a pint of Worthy, bottled lager, WKD Blue, Smirnoff Ice and also all standard single shots; £2.30 a pint of Carling, Carling Dark, Thatchers Gold/Haze, Westons or Coors; £2.50 a pint of San Miguel, Madri, Guinness or real ale; and £2.50 a bottle of Magners, Bulmers or Kopparburg.
