Rugby Sevens ace Tom Williams has been selected to represent Great Britain in the upcoming season which starts in Dubai this weekend.
The Montgomery-raised player said he is "excited" to be back in the GB shirt after recovering from surgery.
"I’ve recovered from groin surgery just in time to make the first tournament of the season," the 27-year-old said.
"There’s only eight tournaments this season so I'm happy to be fit for the first one."
The Cardiff-based sportsman is one of the players which formerly represented Wales before the merging of the national teams from Wales, England and Scotland to form a Great Britain side.
Launching in an Olympic season, the inaugural HSBC SVNS season promises to take rugby sevens to the next level when it all kicks off in Dubai on Saturday (December 2) with Great Britain playing Fiji, France and the USA.
There will be eight stops on the circuit, culminating with a Grand Final where the top eight-ranked teams will battle it out in Madrid, Spain, from May 31 to June 2, 2024.
