Food and drink producers from Powys recently joined hundreds of Welsh companies in showcasing their products to buyers from across the globe.

On October 25 and 26, food and drink producers from Powys attended TasteWales 2023, which took place at the International Convention Centre Wales in Newport.

Organised by the Welsh Government’s Food and Drink Wales organisation, the bi-annual event offers the chance for to meet with UK and international buyers, with a view of raising the international profile of food and drink from Wales and securing new contracts.

Producers from throughout the Mid Wales area attended the event, including Beacon Foods Ltd, Cradoc’s Savoury Biscuits, Radnor Hills, Radnor Preserves, Rural Foodies (Coco Pzazz), Trailhead Fine Foods Ltd and Hilltop.

The evening featured as many as 200 new product launches and over 1,000 on display in total, with representatives from across Europe, America, Asia and the Middle East viewing Welsh businesses and their output.

The Welsh Government’s Minister for Rural Affairs and North Wales, and Trefnydd, Lesley Griffiths said: “TasteWales once again showcased the fantastic work which takes place across Wales to produce high quality food and drink.

“It was great to see such new and innovative products launched and I look forward to seeing the results of the many business meetings which took place as companies secure new contracts to sell their products at home and abroad.”
