A POWYS man has admitted drink driving, but his case has been adjourned as he plans to argue special reasons for why he was behind the wheel.
Ashley James Jones, from Cwmquarry, Llanddewi, near Llandrindod Wells, entered a guilty plea when he appeared before Llandrindod Wells Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, November 8.
The 26-year-old was driving a Volkswagen Golf on an unclassified road near Llanddewi on October 19.
He had 50 micrograms of alcohol in his breath – the legal limit is 35 micrograms.
Rob Hanratty, representing him, said his client intends to argue special reasons. His case was adjourned until January 3, 2022.
