A POWYS woman who was facing charges of being drunk and disorderly has walked free from court with her spotless record in-tact.
Louanna Stuart, 43, pleaded guilty in August to the charge following an incident in Llandrindod Wells when Staurt flagged down officers - but ended up being arrested herself.
Stuart, of Trefonen Way, was at first handed a six-month conditional discharge by magistrates.
But they then decided to adjourn the matter, to see if the police might issue her with a caution or a fixed penalty – due in part to her previous clean record.
The case has since been delayed and rather than a further delay, prosecutor Helen Sidhu told Llandrindod Wells Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, October 25, that she was withdrawing the matter, as it is not in the public interest to prosecute Stuart.
