A POWYS man accused of engaging in sexual communication with a child is likely to enter a plea to the offence later this year.
Connor Friel, 25, from Llanidloes, appeared at Mold Crown Court via videolink on Friday, October 20, where he was due to enter pleas to a total of three charges.
However, the plea and trial preparation hearing was delayed until November for assessment as to whether Friel is fit to enter pleas to the charges.
Friel, of Brook Street, Llanidloes, is accused of attempting to cause a female under 16 to engage in sexual communication between September 7-21 this year.

He is also charged with two counts of breaching a sexual harm prevention order (SHPO), between August 24- and September 21 and August 23 and September 9.
The hearing on Friday heard a report in relation to the defendant’s fitness to plead should be ready by the end of the month.
Friel, who is on remand at HMP Parc, will remain on remand until the next hearing, which is scheduled to take place on November 9.
