A man who denies failing to attend his probation appointments is set to face trial next month, and had been given unconditional bail.
Jordan Wilcock, aged 23, of New Road, Newtown denies that he failed to attend office appointments on September 14 and 29 which he is required to do as part of a community order.
Owain Jones, defending, told Welshpool Magistrates' Court on Tuesday, October 10, that Wilcock's positive Covid test was a reasonable excuse for missing the court-imposed appointments. He is due to face trial on Monday, November 20.
The magistrates agreed to extend Wilcock's unconditional bail to his trial next month.
Chair of the magistrates' bench Rachel Jones said: "We're trusting you with unconditional bail".
