ONE person has reportedly died in a road traffic collision in Powys this morning.
The accident happened on the A470, between Rhayader and Llangurig, sometime before 9.30am.
The Welsh Ambulance Service confirmed its crews had attended the incident after receiving a call at 8.56am this morning, and that one person had died at the scene, according to WalesOnline reports.
"We had a call at 8.56am to this road traffic accident involving a motorcycle and sent multiple resources to the scene, including an emergency ambulance, advanced paramedic practitioner and an operations manager," said a Welsh Ambulance Service spokesperson.
Emergency services were called shortly before 9am, with Dyfed-Powys Police and Traffic Wales confirming the news. The road is set to be closed for some time following the crash and motorists are being advised to avoid the area and find alternate routes.
