A Welshpool businessman has been named as the new chairman of SiFi Networks Global.
Co-founder Mike Harris, will now take on the role of chairman in addition to his current responsibilities, effective immediately.
Harris’ investment company, Ubuntu Business Holdings Ltd, along with its co-founders, are the major shareholder of SiFi Networks Global, which is the major shareholder of SiFi Networks America.
Harris has previously had business success with the likes of Total Network Solutions, which he sold to British Telecom in a multi-million pound deal in 2005.

He is also chairman of The New Saints FC, Wales’s most successful football team.
Harris has been instrumental in shaping SiFi Networks’ journey from its inception back in 2013. His expanded role as chairman will play a pivotal part in driving the company's work on connectivity and advanced technology in the United States.
In his new capacity, Mr Harris will lead the board of directors and work on delivering city-wide, open access, 100% fibre networks in the USA.
He will also work with the executive team to guide SiFi Networks’ overall strategic direction, expand its global reach, and ensure they continue to provide cutting-edge solutions to clients and partners.
