A section of a busy main road between Powys and Shrewsbury has reopened this afternoon (Sunday) following a fatal collision involving a Range Rover and a group of motorcycles.
The A458 that links Welshpool with Shropshire was shut since just after midnight while police carried out investigations into how the crash happened near Rowton .
A 17-year-old motorcyclist sadly died at the scene and another motorcyclist suffered serious injuries in the serious collision.
Police are now appealing for witnesses to come forward with any information that could help with their investigation,
Shortly before 1.30pm, National Highways confirmed that investigation and recovery work had been completed.
"The A458 in Shropshire is open in both directions between the A5 Shrewsbury and B4387 Halfway House.
"Safe travels this afternoon."
