For four decades, John Cradduck has been a "role model" member of the Rotary Club of Llanidloes.
The club recently honoured their current president by recognising his 40 years of service and commitment to raising money and supporting local events and charities, as well as activities such as eliminating polio and responding to natural disasters across the world.
Llanidloes Rotary said: "We would like to congratulate John Cradduck for being a member of Llanidloes Rotary for 40 years.
"Forty years of selfless dedication to the community, a role model to us all. Congratulations, John."
People in Llanidloes shared kind messages congratulating Mr Cradduck on his decades of service to the community.
One thanked him "for everything you’ve done for Llani", while another said he represented "great community spirit" for his service to the people of the town.
"Amazing achievement," Mr Cradduck's daughter Corinna said. "So much has been raised to help others in the time you have been there."
