THE A483 near Llandrindod Wells has been closed following a road traffic collision, say police.
Dyfed-Powys Police said the road – one of the two biggest passing through Powys – is closed between Llandrindod and Llanbister.
They tweeted news about the crash just after 2pm.
“The A483 road between Llandrindod Wells and Llanbister is currently closed due to an RTC,” said the force.
“Please avoid the area and find alternative routes for your journey.”
Powys Council's passenger transport unit said in an update on social media: "Due to an accident on the A483 North of Crossgates the road has been closed.
"This closure, if it remains in place, will create delays with school transport and any public transport services please bear with us should we need to divert transport in order to get the pupils home."
