A star of smash hit Amazon Prime show Clarkson’s Farm will be heading to Powys this month to share his experiences and views on farming.
Dilwyn Evans, who you may recognise as Jeremy Clarkson's vet in one of the UK's most-watched shows, will be part of an international line-up of speakers at Farming Connect's Innovation and Diversification event at the Royal Welsh Show on Thursday, September 21.
Brought up on a dairy farm in Ceredigion, Dilwyn trained as a vet in Scotland before joining veterinary practices across the UK including Kington, near the Powys border.

He is best known for being involved with Clarkson’s Farm, a series on Amazon Prime, following broadcaster Jeremy Clarkson farming his 1,000-acre farm in the Cotswolds, and his attempts to diversify and open a farm shop and restaurant.
Joining Dilwyn in Llanelwedd will be sheep, beef and laying hens farmer and social media influencer, Ioan Humphreys, from Carno.
Also known as 'That Welsh Farmer' to his 26,000 followers on TikTok and another 18,000 on Instagram, Ioan's videos on social media have thousands of fans flocking to get a glimpse of the realities of farming life in Mid Wales which he hopes helps will educate the nation on why British agriculture is so important.
The fifth-generation farmer took charge of the family farm near Carno "with zero days notice" after his father fell ill and was forced to sell half the farm's stock of beef and sheep.
In order to give Felin Newydd Farm a more certain future and to keep the family together, Ioan invested £1 million in a state-of-the art chicken shed for his free-range hens which produce around 30,000 eggs every day for supermarkets.
Eirwen Williams, director of rural programmes with Menter a Busnes, said this year’s event offering one-to-one surgeries, workshops and seminars on agri-related topics promises to be a day no Welsh farmer will want to miss.

“We were so thrilled to have such positive feedback from our previous events and we want to make sure that 2023 is even better," Eirwen said.
"The event offers those looking to innovate and diversify a chance to speak to those who have already taken the diversification leap whilst also making valuable contacts within the industry to help them on their own diversification journey.”
