A mixed choir of talented singers from the Machynlleth area and further afield will be performing a special bilingual concert in Llandinam to raise money for the National Urdd Eisteddfod which will be hosted in Montgomeryshire next year.

The concert will mainly feature the fabulous Côr Dyffryn Dyfi will be held in St Llonio's Church at 7.30pm on Friday, September 22. Interspersed with choral items will be solos by choir members, and a string and piano trio which will add some variety to the evening.

Tickets, costing £8, will be available on the night or can be pre-booked to avoid disappointment by telephoning 07542 224 555 or 07891 838 757. Children aged 12 and under can enjoy the concert for free. There will also be a raffle in the church porch.

Concertgoers who are young and able-bodied are asked to park in the village car park and walk up the hill becuase the parking at the church is limited.

Cor Dyffryn Dyfi have been busy over the summer months performing at the National Eisteddfod in Boduan and holding a concert at the Merched y Wawr’s annual national conference in the Great Hall at Aberystwyth Arts Centre. The Urdd Eisteddfod, one of Europe’s largest youth festivals, will be hosted by Montgomeryshire for the first time in over 30 years next May when it welcomes thousands of people from across Wales for a week of Welsh culture.
