New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to nine of Powys’s establishments, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows – and it’s good news for them all.
Restaurants, cafes and canteens
The following ratings have been given to seven restaurants, cafes or canteens:
• Rated 5: Arthurs @ at Meadow Springs Country &Leisure Park, Ffinnant, Trefeglwys, Caersws; rated on August 30
• Rated 5: Tower House Gallery at 29 High Street, Knighton, Powys; rated on August 25
• Rated 5: Red Mango at Pool Road, Newtown, Powys; rated on August 22
• Rated 5: Coffee#1 at 3 High Street, Brecon, Powys; rated on August 21
• Rated 5: Hunky Dory Rest t/a McDonalds at Mcdonalds Restaurants Ltd, Pool Road, Newtown, Powys; rated on August 21
• Rated 5: Celtic Minor Ltd (inc.Plas-y-Rhosyn) at Celtic Minor Golf Club, Palleg Road, Lower Cwmtwrch, Swansea; rated on August 17
• Rated 5: The Vine Tree Inn at The Legar, Llangattock, Crickhowell, Powys; rated on May 12
Pubs, bars and nightclubs
And two ratings have been handed to pubs, bars or nightclubs:
• Rated 5: Farmers Inn at 1 Hereford Street, Presteigne, Powys; rated on August 22
• Rated 5: The Bell Country Inn at Llanyre, Llandrindod Wells, Powys; rated on August 22
