A village pub near Newtown entered a new era this summer when it was taken over by the Rogers family who are brimming with new ideas to bring the community together.
New landlords Leeanne and Michael launched their venture at The Sarn Inn with a busy opening weekend and have outlined their vision to make it a "classy" pub where families feel welcome to drink and eat.
After listening to feedback from locals, The Sarn Inn will soon be serving new ciders and "proper pub grub", while also introducing Sunday carveries following a successful trial run.

Leeanne and Michael have hit the ground running to create a community feel to the pub by reintroducing for the first time in years a ladies darts team that has won every match played so far, and a popular pool table upstairs to bring new faces into the pub.
There will soon be bingo every week, quiz nights and live music including a performance from Steve Edwards tonight (Friday) at 8pm.
"The support here, not just the farmers but the different faces we see, has been absolutely overwhelming," Leeanne said.
"What I love the most about here is it doesn’t matter who’s in here, all the locals are so welcoming with the new faces coming through. They’re always considerate of other people. They’d talk and introduce themselves. They’ll never make anybody feel awkward. It’s lovely. It's really nice."
Leeanne added: "I want it to be a family environment because having children myself I want people to feel they can bring their children and be comfortable having a drink and socialising, getting out of the house.
"Especially in the cost-of-living crisis because we’ve all felt it in our own way, I don’t think people want to spend a massive amount, they want to pop in, grab something for few quid, leave happy and full.
"There’s always a warm welcome here. Everybody will be greeted with a smile."
