A LONG-DISTANCE bus route in Powys which had been deregistered has been awarded to a new operator, and will be running free of charge over the next few weeks.
Those who use the T6 service from Brecon to Swansea – which had recently been de-registered - will see the service registered once again.
The T6 Brecon-Swansea contract is one of five new deals dished out, with the contract for the route between Powys and South Wales awarded to Adventure Travel.
Other new contracts include the T2 route from Bangor to Aberystwyth, which will be integrated with the X28 Aberystwyth to Machynlleth to provide an hourly service throughout the day.
The T6 service had recently been de-registered and while the new registration process continues, TfW has revealed it will be running this service free of charge during the initial weeks of the new contract in early September.
