LLANDRINDOD Wells’ Albert Hall theatre has launched a fundraising project that will allow supporters to help keep the iconic spa town venue alive while they shop.
The Albert Hall has registered with easyfundraising, which partners with over 7,000 brands who will donate part of what you spend to a cause of your choice. It won't cost you any extra, the cost is covered by the brand.
So, whether you love Pets at Home, Tesco, M&S, Just Eat, Moonpig or Argos, you can now support the popular Radnorshire theatre when you visit your favourite stores.
“Great news. We’ve registered the Albert Hall with easyfundraising, which means over 7,000 brands will now donate to us for free every time you use easyfundraising to shop with them,” said the theatre on its Facebook page.

Brands pay easyfundraising a commission because when you start your shop from the website or app, they can see that you were sent to them by the website. If you make a purchase, a commission is generated and then turned into a donation.

Built in 1896, the Albert Hall is Mid Wales' oldest theatre. Originally a church, it was transformed into an entertainment venue in 1922 and celebrated its centenary only in July.
The Albert Hall, as a theatre and arts venue, was officially opened on July 20, 1923, at 3pm. On Thursday, July 20 this year, it put on a special open day celebration event to mark the occasion.
The anniversary was marked at 3pm, 100 years precisely since it opened its doors a century ago.
The Albert Hall management committee operate and maintain the building on behalf of the local community.
“We are fully self-funded and do not receive any regular income from grants,” said a spokesperson.
“The Albert Hall is a community space and we work tirelessly to ensure the building remains open and used for future generations to visit.”
In a separate bid to raise funds, the theatre will be hosting a quiz night on Saturday, September 30.
Join them and quiz master Brenda, best known for her quizzes at The Lamb in Builth Wells, for the event, which starts at 7.30pm at the Ithon Road venue.
Max 6 per team, £2 a person. Refreshments will be available.
