Comedy superstar Russell Howard made a big impression on an mid Wales café after giving free tickets to his show for the staff.

The comedian, who is one of the most successful in the UK, made the generous gesture after popping in for brunch at the Little Devil’s café on Terrace Road in Aberystwyth.

“He was absolutely lovely,” said member of staff Sam Cook. “He was one of the nicest people we have met, he was very kind.

“Some of our staff will be going to see him tonight (August 30) and he gave eight tickets to all of us in total.

“We were all a bit starstruck if I am honest.”
