A CONCERT held in Maesmynis Church Hall, near Builth Wells, in June raised more than £250 for St David's Church, in Llanddewi'r Cwm, also just outside the town.
The concert, held on Saturday, June 24, saw five local musicians entertain the lively, appreciative audience with a grand selection of music and songs.
An old Lonnie Donegan hit, ‘Putting on the Style’, was very popular, with the audience joining in the chorus. Other pieces included ‘Duelling Banjos’ with Paul Jays and Ami, a Raindrops prelude played by Leigh Spicer and opera favourite ‘Un Bel Di’ sung by Penny Nicholson.
