Some great Powys hair salons react as named by our readers

When the big events are coming up on the calendar, whether they are weddings or other get togethers, or even just a night out on the town, the first call for many is to their favourite salon.

We asked readers to name the best hairdressers in Powys and recieved hundreds of replies as customers expressed their gratitude.

The Salon in Llanrhaeadr-ym-Mochant was named by many customers who piled praise on the business including Leah who said the team are a "very friendly bunch, and professional service".

Salon owner Rhian Howell Ellis said: "The Salon is absolutely thrilled to hear this.

"I believe a huge part of our popularity is down to the loyalty of our clients.

"I have owned The Salon since 2004 and previously to that worked in a combination of different salons along with mobile hairdressing, my clients have always followed me wherever I go.

"Combine that with the fresh approach both Ceri and Elain bring to the salon along with clients new and old. It is very much a team effort."

Snips, Welshpool

Snips of Welshpool was also a popular choice among readers

Another hair salon that was highly recommended by readers was Builth Wells' Century Marks where clients were left "absolutely delighted" with their new haircuts.

One happy customer said: "Toni Hughes and all lovely girls, they are all fantastic at what they do and so kind."

The "little gem" in Welshpool town centre was highly-praised by clients who they leave the salon with a great cut and colour everytime.

"Great staff and always cheerful," said one of the clients. "My hair always looks great and I normally leave it up to my hairdresser to choose my colours too."
