The wait is over, Green Man Festival 2023 is finally here.
The event which sold out within four hours of tickets going on sale begins on Thursday in Crickhowell.
This year festival-goers will be treated to headline acts including Devo and Self Esteem while also being able to attend workshops and food and drink tents.

When is Green Man Festival 2023 and where is it being held?
Green Man Festival 2023 kicks off this week.
Green Man begins on Thursday, August 17 and runs through until Sunday, August 20.
The event is held near the Welsh town of Crickhowell, nestled within the beautiful Brecon Beacons.
Gates open for the weekend at 10am on Thursday, August 17, while The Settlement opens at 10am on Monday (August 14).

Self Esteem was announced as the fourth and final headline act for Green Man Festival 2023 back in June.
They will join fellow headliners First Aid Kit, Devo and Spiritualized in performing at the sold-out festival.

The lineup for Green Man 2023 sees a 50/50 gender split of female artists and female-fronted bands, continuing the festival’s commitment to booking a diverse and eclectic lineup of talent from around the world.
Managing director and owner of the Green Man festival, Fiona Stewart said: “We’re delighted that over 50% of our line-up will be female and non-binary artists.
"Inclusivity and creating opportunities is at the beating heart of Green Man festival, so having 50% female and non-binary acts throughout the billing, including our headliners, is something we're thrilled to announce.

The festival also offers a diverse range of events to accompany its musical line-up.
With art installations, a beer and cider tent, an Ancient Egypt-themed area of discovery and exploration, a relaxation and workshop space and science engagement areas there is something for everyone.
How to get to Green Man Festival 2023?
Bus/coach
Green Man has once again teamed up with National Express to help deliver a number of coach services to help people from all over the UK make it to the event.
Festival organisers, on Twitter, said: "It’s one the most environmentally-friendly ways to get here & drops you close to campsites."

Train
Abergavenny is the closest train station to Green Man, and the festival offers free shuttle buses to and from the train station from Thursday (August 17).
Car (Car parking)
You can also drive to Green Man Festival with car parking available from Thursday. Car parks open at 10am on Thursday, August 17.
Event organisers added: "So please don't arrive before then."
There is the Orange Car Park and a Park and Ride available - both of which will be signposted when you get to the event.
The walk from Orange car park to general camping takes approximately 15 to 20 minutes.
While the Park & Ride drops you at the Bus Gate.
Car park tickets can be purchased upon arrival.
Cycling
If you are looking to cycle to the event, there will be guided tours to help direct you to the event.
Red Fox Cycling will be operating cycle groups from Cardiff and Bristol taking participants to the event via some picturesque routes.
Green Man organisers said: "Cycling to the festival with Red Fox will get you access to GM on Wednesday 16th August plus a free beer."

Green Man has a number of camping areas including a general, family and quiet.
These areas do not require pre-booking, all you need to do is head there when you arrive at the event.
There's also Live-in Vehicle Camping and Accessible Camping, both of which require pre-booking.
All are equipped with plentiful toilets (cleaned at regular intervals) as well as hot showers, fresh water taps and rubbish and recycling facilities.
All campsites close and must be empty by 3pm on the Monday (August 21) following the festival, so raging hangover or not, don’t get locked in and left behind.
If camping is not your thing there are a number of local hotels and B&Bs nearby to stay in.
Road closures in place for Green Man Festival 2023
The B4558 is closed to traffic driving towards the festival on Monday, August 21 following the end of the festival.
This means cars cannot drive up to the festival site, so event organisers suggest "anyone being collected should catch the bus to the Park and Ride and arrange to be picked up from there".
Prohibited items from Green Man Festival 2023
There are a number of things that cannot be brought into Green Man Festival and they include:
- Illegal substances
- Drugs
- Fireworks
- Explosives
- Generators
- Tin foil barbecues
- Weapons
The Green Man website said there will be increased random searches at the 2023 event, which take place upon entry.
If you are found in possession of any of these items you will be refused entry and may be arrested.
Dogs are also not allowed at the event.
