Specialist Dyfed-Powys Police units were called out after detectorists stumbled on an unexploded grenade in the south of the county.
Police were called out to the Dyfynnog area near Sennybridge after members of the public, who were enjoying a day metal detecting, stumbled on what appeared to be an unexploded grenade on their search for treasure.
Dyfed-Powys Police sent out their explosive ordnance disposal team, a highly trained unit who deal with items that may be at risk of a dangerous explosion.
According to a statement by Dyfed-Powys police, the team went and investigated the object but further investigations "revealed it to be a training grenade which has now been removed".
