Newtown is set to host a free family festival with circus acts and a petting zoo which promises to be a day filled with fun and entertainment.
People have been told to get ready for Newtown Kindness Festival which returns later this month to spread a bit of positivity in the town and help families with the cost of living crisis.
Newtown Town Hall grounds in the heart of town is where you'll find free food, entertainment and activities including inflatables, face painting, hair braiding, and more from 11am to 4pm on Saturday, August 19.
Organisers said the festival offers an "extraordinary opportunity for residents and visitors alike to unite, engage in fun activities, and experience the transformative power of compassion".

Open Newtown has worked with local organisations and businesses who have given generously to bring back the festival which first launched last year with more than 50 stands taking part.
Stuart Owen, Open Newtown CEO, said: “A special thanks go to Control Techniques for their sponsorship and invaluable behind the scenes support, and a hearty congratulations on their 50th anniversary”.
