A spokesperson for the Legion said that Councillor Morgan had been “lovely” and “friendly” when she came to visit the club and had given a cheque to go towards the fund they are currently putting together.
This comes as the legion tries to raise money to go towards its 'Fix the Roof Fund' to keep the club building open in the long-term.
The legion is putting on a number of events to raise money for the fund. This includes a concert being held at the venue on Friday, November 17 by cover band Conspiracy Theory, who are made up of ex-military personnel and are not taking any wages to perform.
Tickets for the show will be £5 and the event will start at 9pm.
