A Welshpool man who was caught on CCTV repeatedly punching a man before finally kicking him will be sentenced by a judge next month.
Gareth Clarkson, aged 21, of Bron Gungrog, pleaded guilty to inflicting grievous bodily harm on Mark Elliott while out in Shrewsbury on December 12, 2021.
Shrewsbury Crown Court heard on Wednesday (July 19) that the attack, which was caught on camera, involved a number of punches that were thrown by Clarkson before he gave one final kick to "extremely vulnerable" Mr Elliott.
The court was told that Clarkson removed himself from the incident but "his intent may not be clear as first thought".
His Honour Judge Peter Barrie adjourned the hearing for sentencing and fixed a new date for August 18 and released Clarkson on unconditional bail.
