A LLANDRINDOD Wells man accused of making a threatening phone call to a woman is due to be sentenced next month.
William George Davies had originally denied a charge of sending a letter or communication conveying a threatening message when he appeared at Llandrindod Wells Magistrates’ Court in April, and had elected a trial at the crown court.
The 53-year-old, of Park Terrace, Llandrindod, then admitted the offence when he appeared at Merthyr Tydfil Crown Court on May 24.
He made a phone call to Bethan Edwards on November 20, 2022, a call which conveyed a threat for the purpose of causing distress or anxiety to the recipient.
Davies was due to be sentenced in Merthyr on July 6 but the case was adjourned so that a pre-sentence report can be prepared. He is now set to be sentenced on August 4.
