THE British Stone Skimming Championships return to the Powys-Shropshire border next month.
Walcot Lake in Lydbury North will host the event on Sunday, July 9th from 12-5pm.
Cari Jones from Llanwrin was crowned girls under 12s champion in 2019 with a throw of 44 metres.
At the age of 11 she beat all the other females on the day and set a new record for her age group and will return in 2023.
Cari Jones from Llanwrin will be aiming for stone skimming glory.
Skimming categories are under 12s, under 16s, men and women and over 65s.
There will also be a simple throwing category for under 5s.
Entry is £3 for four attempts and £2.50 for under 16s.

Competitors can use stones provided or bring their own favourites. All stones must be naturally formed and British. No artificial stones allowed.
Spectators are welcome with a bar and refreshment van on site.
