A driver has had a lucky escape after lightning struck their vehicle whilst driving in Powys.
Fire crews from Llanfair Caereinion had to cut short one of their weekly drills after a tanker delivering water in Cefn Coch was struck by lightning last night (June 12).
The crew were called out to the scene at 7.37pm and "the crew administered first aid to the driver until the Ambulance Service crew arrived."

An officer from Dyfed-Powys Police was called to the scene along with a crew from the Welsh Ambulance service and the driver was later taken to hospital "as a precaution".
According to a spokesperson from the Mid and West Wales Fire Service the driver was delivering water to a nearby village due to a supply issue.
The crews say that "there was no damage to the vehicle" and believe that the driver was saved from more severe injury as "the lightning most likely earthed through the delivery hose".
A spokesperson for Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service said: "At 7.37pm on Monday, June 12th, the Llanfair Caereinion crew were called to an incident at Cefn Coch in Welshpool.
"One tanker lorry had been struck by lightning, the crew administered first aid to the driver until the Ambulance Service crew arrived. The crew left the scene at 8.32pm."
