A man is due to appear in court accused of carrying out serious assaults in Newtown on Friday evening (June 9).
Dyfed-Powys Police said a 41-year-old man who was airlifted to hospital remains in a critical condition.
Kenneth Jones will appear at Welshpool Magistrates' Court today (Monday, June 12) after police charged him with two offences over the incident in Frankwell Street.
The 20-year-old is charged with wounding or inflicting grievous bodily harm without intent and assault occasioning actual bodily harm.
A 51-year-old man was also injured during the incident, but he did not need hospital treatment.
Over the weekend, police officers investigating the assaults said they were not looking for anyone else in connection with the incident.
