A FATHER and his son who are accused of assaulting and resisting six police officers in Powys are to face trial later this year.
John Gomm and son Jack Gomm are to face a three-day trial in December after officially entering not guilty pleas at Mold Crown Court today (June 9).
Both men are from the Kent area and deny a string of offences in Llansantffraid on January 30 this year.
John Gomm, 55, and Jack Gomm, 25, each deny two counts of assaulting an emergency worker. Jack Gomm denies a third offence of damaging metal seats inside a police van.
His father entered a guilty plea to possessing an offensive weapon – an extendable baton – in a public place when they appeared at Mold.
Both defendants, of Bolts Hill in Chartham, near Canterbury, are to face a three-day trial beginning on December 11, at Mold.
Their unconditional bail was extended until the trial date.
