A woman has denied dishonestly claiming more than £26,000 in benefits while working two jobs including at a well-known Powys hotel.
Sarah Louise Taylor, aged 48, will face trial in court over the allegation that she failed to notify the Department for Work and Pensions that her circumstances had changed.
Taylor is accused of receiving a Carer's Allowance worth more than £26,000 over an eight-year period from March 2011 to June 2019 while working at the Dragon Hotel in Montgomery and Shrewsbury-based security company Eagle Specialist Protection.
Taylor pleaded not guilty to the charge of dishonestly failing to notify her change of circumstances which affected her entitlement to social security benefit, advantage or payment when she appeared at Welshpool Magistrates' Court on Tuesday, June 6.
Taylor, of Tan y Mur, Montgomery, was told that she will remain on unconditional bail and must return for her trial at Welshpool Magistrates' Court on August 14.
