A THREE-VEHICLE collision on a major Powys road on Tuesday (May 30) resulted in one casualty, who is believed to have been taken to hospital via air ambulance.
Both lanes of the A40 between Brecon and Sennybridge were closed following the crash, which occurred just after 6pm on May 30.
“I can confirm that the Wales Air Ambulance attended an incident in the Brecon area on Tuesday evening,” said a Wales Air Ambulance spokesperson.
“Our critical care team was allocated at 6.28pm and arrived at the scene by helicopter at 6.48pm. Our involvement concluded at 7.49pm.”
A Welsh Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called on May 30 shortly before 6.30pm to reports of a road traffic collision on the A40, Sennybridge to Brecon.
“We sent one duty operational manager, one rapid response vehicle and one emergency ambulance to the scene, where we were supported by the Wales Air Ambulance. No further treatment was required, and we were stood down.”
Dyfed Powys Police said they were called to the scene of a three-car collision at 6.20pm, with the road closed and subsequently reopened at around 8pm.
