A 61-year-old Powys man who initially denied assaulting another man has changed his plea to guilty.
David Robert Statham, of Llwyn Caedu, Llanbister Road, near Llanbister, appeared at Llandrindod Wells Magistrates’ Court last Wednesday, May 24, where he changed a previous not guilty plea to guilty in relation to assaulting Ernest Leslie Wilson in Llanbister Road on April 18.
Magistrates adjourned the case and sent it to Merthyr Tydfil Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, May 31, as Statham has another matter due to be heard that day, so the two matters can be dealt with together.
