More than three weeks of rail replacement services between Machynlleth and Shrewsbury are expected to end by Monday (May 22).
A replacement bus service has been running since May 6 with refurbishment work taking place on Severn and Carno railway viaduct and on the tracks in Newtown.
Network Rail said work will continue after this 16-day-block, but will be carried out during the night when trains aren’t running.

Shift times for the Newtown track work are on weeknights from 10.45pm to 6.15am starting from Monday (May 22) and ending on Friday, June 9.
Work will resume on Monday, June 26, until Friday, June 30, between 10.45pm and 6.15am, and again from Monday, July 3, to Friday, July 7, during the same hours.
Shift work along the Severn and Carno viaduct will take place from Monday, June 19, to Friday, June 23, between 8am to 5pm.
