A LLANDRINOD Wells-based wholesaler and distributor of health foods says new investment could result in more jobs being created in the future.
For now, the investment in Minton Good Foods Ltd will secure jobs at the Powys site, located on the spa town’s Heart of Wales Business Park.
The new investment comes from Dundeis Ltd, a member of the UK family office investment group Cottagequinn Enterprises Ltd, who said it is delighted to announce to have acquired a significant shareholding in Minton Good Foods.
Minton managing director Roger Watkins said: “It will result in new opportunities that will probably lead to new jobs but certainly secure existing jobs.”
Minton Good Foods is a privately owned operator that started trading in the 1970s, supplying wholefoods to small businesses in Mid Wales.
Its wide range of products includes cereals, spices, dried fruits and nuts

“Cottagequinn Enterprises Ltd has a strong track record in the food industry and recently formed Dundeis Ltd as a new wholesale and distribution business in the UK natural and specialist grocery market,” read a statement provided by the company.
“The Dundeis team, led by Mike Kilcourse, has been assembled with known and respected individuals who have significant industry and sector experience. The combination of this established team and the capability of the Mintons operation will create a business of scale with substantial growth opportunities.
“Mintons will be a key supply partner for Dundeis, providing production and additional trading capability for that business and its exclusive brand partners from the UK and worldwide, whilst continuing to serve its existing customer base.
“The investment by Dundeis will create fresh opportunities for the Mintons business in Llandrindod Wells, secure employment and allow the business to develop strongly in both British and export markets, with the retail trade and online operators.
“Existing Mintons director Roger Watkins will remain a key stakeholder in the new enterprise along with the management team at Llandrindod Wells and the Mintons business is looking forward to building on the extensive network of customers that Dundeis are targeting alongside enhancing the service to existing Mintons customers.
“The new business will positively develop Mintons Good Foods as a leading example of progressive Welsh enterprise building trade across the UK, EU and global markets.”
