A father and son will face trial next month after denying that they assaulted police officers responding to a report of an alleged burglary.
John Gomm, 55, and his 24-year-old son Jack appeared at Welshpool Magistrates' Court on Tuesday, May 9, to plead not guilty to four charges each which allegedly happened in Llansantffraid on January 30 this year.
The pair, who live in Kent, were granted unconditional bail to attend their trial on June 9 at Mold Crown Court.
John Gomm denied possessing an offensive weapon - an extendable baton - in a public place at Treflan in Llansantffraid, and his son Jack pleaded not guilty to damaging metal seats inside a police van.
Both men, of Beckett Avenue, Canterbury, also denied resisting six police officers including two detectives, and assaulting two officers by beating them.
