A man is to stand trial later this year accused of a number of child sex offences.
Benjamin Sidwell, 35, appeared at Mold Crown Court having been charged with seven counts of sexual activity with a child under 13 in Welshpool between February 5 and 10 this year.
Sidwell, of Lewis Crescent, Wellington, Shropshire, pleaded not guilty to all seven counts when he appeared in court on Friday (May 5).
He denies the following charges against a girl under 13 years old: assault by penetration, two counts of rape, two counts of inciting a girl to engage in sexual activity with no penetration, and two counts of assault by touching.
Sidwell will stand trial on October 23 at Mold Crown Court.
His Honour Judge Rhys Rowlands gave Sidwell conditional bail to return to court on Friday, July 7, for a cross examination hearing which will include the alleged young victim.
