THE Builth Wells and Newbridge-on-Wye communities will be celebrating King Charles III's Coronation this weekend, with a host of events planned.
Builth Wells Town Council is hosting a coronation celebration at the Strand Hall on Sunday, May 7, from 2-6pm.
It is a bring your own picnic event and there will be music, a bouncy castle, colouring books for the children, all provided by the council. A bar for the adults will also be open with free squash for children.
Meanwhile, the Golden Lion, in Newbridge is inviting patrons to come and watch King Charles’ Coronation on Saturday, May 6, with a free mini buffet.

There will also be tea, coffee, soft drinks and alcohol available from the bar, which opens at 10.30am. On Sunday the pub continues the celebrations with a right royal disco, starting at 7pm.
Over at the New Inn, they are also welcoming all to join them to celebrate the King’s Coronation.
They are inviting you to watch the ceremony, enjoy a buffet, bring a cake to enter the best cake competition, there’s a make a crown competition, fun and games in the garden for youngsters, with entries for competitions to be by 1pm on the day.
Fancy dress is optional and there will be music from local band Lucky Pierre.
