Llanfyllin artist Dan Llewellyn Hall was recently featured in a short film that served as a finale to an exhibition celebrating the Wales Coast path.
In 2022 Wales Coast path celebrated its tenth anniversary, with Natural Resources Wales and National Trails commissioning Powys-based artist Dan Llewellyn Hall to curate a visual arts exhibition inspired by the coast.
Mr Llewellyn Hall’s work has been exhibited throughout the UK as part of both solo and group exhibitions in venues such as the Saatchi Gallery, The National Portrait Gallery, National Museum of Wales, Windsor Castle and Museum of Modern Art Wales.

On April 26 the final piece of the project, a short film featuring Mr Llewellyn Hall and Hanan Issa, the National Poet of Wales, who also read at the Senedd that same day.
She said: “A great end to a lovely project. Thanks to all who put this together.”
Celf Coast Cymru saw 10 artists paired with 10 poets to create works of art inspired by Wales’ coast, as well as a short film to accompany each piece.
The exhibition opened in the Norwegian Church in Cardiff and ran throughout March 2023.
The final film featured Hannah Issa’s poem ‘First Steps’ read aloud while accompanying footage of Mr Llewellyn Hall working on his painting ‘Flux’ and was filmed near Penarth in south Wales.
