A MAN who denied exposing himself to 3 women on a riverbank in Powys has been fined after he changed his plea on the morning of his trial.
Slawek Dabek, from Weobley, had previously denied exposing himself to the three women on a pebbled beach area of the River Wye in Glasbury on July 17 last year.
Dabek, 44, was reported to police after the incident, with the women saying they were at a beach and saw a man exposing his penis.
The defendant admitted being present but said at an earlier court hearing that he didn’t expose himself and that he had swimming trunks and underpants on.
However, ahead of his trial at Llandrindod Wells Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, April 26, Dabek changed his plea. He pleaded guilty to a charge of threatening behaviour likely to cause harassment, alarm or distress.
At the previous hearing, the court was told identity wasn’t an issue as the women took a photo as Dabek was leaving and he admitted to police it was him.
Dabek was fined £315 and ordered to pay £200 costs, as well as a £126 surcharge – making a total financial penalty of £641.
