THE trial of four men accused of being involved in a string of burglaries across six different counties throughout Wales and England is now the trial of one man, after his three co-defendants changed their pleas.
Brad Oakley, Andrew Bell, Sean Thomas and Jason Thomas were all charged with conspiring together to commit burglary with intent to steal by trespassing at buildings in Powys, Ceredigion, Gwynedd, Herefordshire, Worcestershire and Gloucestershire between July 7 and August 24, 2019.
All four originally denied the offence when appearing at Welshpool Magistrates' Court on August 30 last year, but Oakley, Bell and Sean Thomas have since changed their pleas to guilty.
Jason Thomas, 42, from Dudley, maintains his innocence and also denies a charge of driving a motor vehicle dangerously on roads between Newtown and Telford on August 23, 2019.
Oakley, Bell and Sean Thomas changed their pleas on March 30, while Jason Thomas’ trial is now set to take place on October 16 this year at Mold Crown Court.
