The next public meeting on the future of the Wales Air Ambulance service is set to come to Welshpool next week.
The County Times broke the news last year that the Welshpool base could be set to close and combined with the Caernarfon crews at a new north Wales site– leading to a huge public outcry with over 20,000 members of the public signing a petition to save the base.
The Consultation is being run by the NHS’s Emergency Ambulance Service Committee and their commissioner, Stephen Harrhy.
Both campaigners and Mr Harrhy have encouraged members of the public to get involved in the meetings to put their point of view forward.
“It’s for everybody to have their say, there are no wrong questions everybody’s question is valid and important because it is our lifeline in Mid Wales," said campaigner Teresa Morgan.
The in-person meetings will take place at Welshpool Town Hall on Wednesday April 26.
The day will public drop ins being available from 11am-3pm and then a pair of meeting will take place in the evening the first taking place between 5.30pm-6.30pm and the second between 7pm and 8pm.
