IF you love psychedelic pop, alternative folk and a little bit of funk, then wrap yourself in The Golden Fleece this May.
Sheep Music and Mid Border Arts present The Golden Fleece, a one-day festival of psychedelic pop, alternative folk and a little bit of funk with a spoken word stage and kid's activities throughout the day.
The Golden Fleece will be held on Saturday, May 20, at Went’s Meadow, Presteigne, from 2-11pm.
The line-up this year includes: Islet, Sweet Baboo, Johanna Warren, The Breaks, Eaten by Lions and Walk, Torc and Punk.

Headliners Islet provide the perfect mix of experimentation and entertainment with a synth-driven sound, unexpected shifts of rhythm and playful inventive lyrics.
Sweet Baboo is the alter ego of North Walian musician and songwriter Stephen Black, who writes beautifully judged psych-pop that hums with warmth. His career has spanned over 2 decades and has seen him release 6 albums to date to critical acclaim. His live shows are entertaining, full of catchy hooks, melodies and delight.
Rolling Stone Magazine has hailed Mid Wales-based American singer-songwriter Johanna Warren as someone “you need to know”. She has released six solo albums, her last recorded mostly in Wales has shown a dramatic shift from her previous searing punk screams to sparkly psych-folk soundscapes.
Both The Breaks and Eaten by Lions won’t have far to travel as they’re from Hay-on-Wye. The Breaks’ music is heavy with energetic rhythms, soulful worldwide folk, and blue note Beats creating a unique and eclectic mix of Babylon grooves, dub, reggae, electronica and improvisation.
New Indie rock 3-piece Eaten by Lions are from the Welsh border, playing frenetic 3-minute indie rock bangers. They have been compared to the Arctic Monkeys, Strokes, early Cure, Pixies, Blur, Nirvana, Spoon, Television and Sonic Youth.
Walk, Torc and Punk change the pace between bands with their stand-up poetry intermissions.
