A POWYS man accused of driving with 15 times the legal amount of a Class A drug in his system has been ordered to be arrested.
Welshpool Magistrates’ Court issued a warrant for the arrest of Leone Rothwell on Tuesday, April 4, after he failed to attend.
The 31-year-old, from Llandrindod Wells, is accused of driving a Ford Fiesta near Dolfor on November 13 last year, with benzoylecgonine – a compound of cocaine – in his system.
The charge states that the amount of benzoylecgonine in his blood was 764 micrograms – the legal limit is just 50 micrograms.
Due to the fact he did not show and had not contacted the court, a warrant for the arrest of Rothwell, of Ithon Road, Llandrindod, was granted.
