The search is on to find as many former Llanidloes Carnival Queens as possible in time for this summer’s event.

Llanidloes Carnival Committee members want to track down as many past carnival queens for the big day on Saturday, July 15, which this year will be celebrating the King’s Coronation and the history of Llanidloes Carnival.

A carnival committee spokesperson said: “As part of the celebrations, we are hoping to get in touch with as many former carnival queens as possible, so if you have had the honour of being crowned Llanidloes Carnival Queen or if you know of anyone in your family who is a former Queen, we would be really grateful if you could get in touch.”

OTHER NEWS:

Last year’s event was dubbed "the biggest and best ever seen" in Llanidloes after hundreds of people turned out to celebrate the first carnival in three years.

Organisers said they were "delighted and thrilled to bits" to see so many floats and people walking in the parade.

If you’re a former Llanidloes Carnival Queen or know someone who was, please contact the carnival committee on the Llanidloes Carnival page on Facebook.
