A POWYS man has denied a string of child sex offences and will face a trial later this year.
Gareth Morgan Jones, 62, is accused of five offences in total, relating to communicating with underage teenage girls and attempting to engage them in sexual activity.
Jones, from Newbridge-on-Wye, appeared at Llandrindod Wells Magistrates’ Court this week where he denied all five offences put to him.

Due to the serious nature of the alleged offences, his case was sent to the crown court, where he will initially appear next month.
The offences are alleged to have occurred between July 21 and August 12, 2021.
Magistrates declined jurisdiction of the case and adjourned proceedings.
Jones, of Llwyncelyn, Newbridge, is due before Merthyr Tydfil Crown Court on April 26.
